Overview
Hurricane Milton
Send Relief is mobilizing quickly to bring vital resources to affected areas in Florida. Thousands of pounds of dry goods, snacks, and disaster relief supplies are being prepared to assist those in need. Each box contains enough food to provide 64 meals, and plans are underway to send a tractor-trailer filled with generators and roofing materials to help residents secure their homes while waiting for insurance assistance.
Back-to-back hurricanes, with Hurricane Helene already impacting the region, have heightened the urgency and scale of relief efforts. Volunteers are ready to provide meals across five kitchens, with the capacity to serve up to 30,000 people a day.
You can help bring hope and help amid hurricanes and other crises by giving and by praying:
- Pray for multiple states’ Disaster Relief teams. With help from Send Relief, they are feeding hungry people, distributing supplies, and beginning to help homeowners clean up debris.
- Pray for churches in the area as they work to meet their neighbors’ needs and share the love of Jesus with storm-weary communities.
