Strengthen Communities

Communities all over the world don’t have access to clean water, education, medical care and more.

These are all real problems, but there are also practical solutions. Together, we can equip communities to make sustainable change while sharing the love of Christ.

You and your church can join the thousands of others already partnering with Send Relief to care for those in need—one person, one relationship, one community—at a time. Through authentic care and consistent presence, people hear and see the gospel in action and discover how God’s amazing love can change everything.

Appalachia Ministry Center

Appalachia Ministry Center

The Appalachia Ministry Center is located in Ashland, Kentucky, near the borders of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, and seeks to help rural communities end generational cycles of poverty, food insecurity and prevalent struggles with addiction. With a population of more than 25 million people, Appalachia is a region well acquainted with hardship. Increasing unemployment and poverty as well as soaring rates of drug abuse have caused the region to lag significantly behind the rest of the country in terms of economic and population growth.
Boston Ministry Center

Boston Ministry Center

In the heart of Boston, this Send Relief ministry center is dedicated to functioning as a catalytic hub for restorative ministry in and around the city. The center is committed to working alongside local ministries and through the local church to see communities strengthened to the glory of God. Through a collaborative effort with Send Boston, GenSend, and the Journeyman program, the center also is strategically working to compassionately build bridges in communities that are in need of the gospel strengthening that a church plant provides.
Chicago Ministry Center

Chicago Ministry Center

Home to nearly 3 million people and a popular tourist site for millions more, Chicago is the third-largest city in the United States. On the west side of Chicago, where most of the city’s gang-related violence takes place, Send Relief’s ministry center was established in 2021 to meet the growing spiritual needs of this metropolis. The ministry center staff, in partnership with Chicago West Bible Church and other SBC churches, are focused on strengthening families and the community with the goal of being a beacon of light in the darkness.
Laredo Ministry Center

Laredo Ministry Center

Laredo, Texas, is home to one of the oldest border crossings in America’s history and serves as the United States’ largest land-based entry point. Because of this history, Laredo is a unique melting pot of a city that seamlessly blends the cultures of the U.S. and Mexico. By partnering with the Texas Baptist River Ministry, Send Relief’s ministry center in Laredo is able to provide displaced families along the U.S. Mexico border with food, clothes, hygiene kits and the hope of new life in the gospel.
Memphis Ministry Center

Memphis Ministry Center

A local pastor described Memphis as a “gritty city” that doesn’t wait for you to choose it—it chooses you. Memphis is resilient. It has survived war, plagues, earthquakes and Jim Crow laws to evolve into today’s industrial metropolis. Known by locals as “Bluff City,” Memphis is the home to a vibrant, multicultural community of more than half a million people. Despite poverty levels more than 25% and crime rates that are skyrocketing by the month, God is here, moving among His people to build the Church.
New York City Ministry Center

New York City Ministry Center

With a population of over 8.6 million, New York City has a lot to offer. But there are also 78,600 homeless and a poverty rate of 43.6%. Send Relief partners with Graffiti 2 Ministries in the Bronx with a simple mission for New York City: Meet the need first. When you care enough about someone to meet their needs, meaningful relationships develop and doors to the gospel open. The New York Ministry Center provides a wide variety of services—food for the homeless, training programs, tutoring, high school equivalency, case work, job training and creation and church planting. Through your support, this ministry center can reach the people of New York with the hope of Jesus Christ.
South Dakota Ministry Center

South Dakota Ministry Center

South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Reservation is about an hour southeast of Rapid City, and that’s where Send Relief has partnered with the Chanku Wasté (pronounced “wash-tay”) Ranch. Chanku Wasté serves the Oglala Lakota people group. Because the area has one of the highest poverty rates in the United States, Send Relief has the opportunity to help interrupt the cycle of poverty.
