Overview
Severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding struck the Southeastern U.S. over the 2025 Valentine’s Day weekend. Appalachia was particularly impacted, causing swift-water rescues, at least eight deaths, heavy damage to property, and mudslides across the region.
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief teams across multiple states are conducting assessments and planning response efforts, which may be hampered by severe cold and snow in some areas.
Pray for those affected and first responders to be able to safely begin initial recovery.
