Overview
Myanmar experienced a 7.7-magnitude earthquake, the most powerful to hit the country since 1946. The effects were felt across Southeast Asia. More than 2,700 people have died, with many more casualties feared and thousands more injured or trapped. Thousands of homes have been damaged or destroyed.
Please pray for safety, healing, and the hope of Christ to reach hearts in the middle of this devastation.
Send Relief is providing essential supplies, including food, rice, clean drinking water, and flashlights, to thousands of survivors. Our trained partners are ministering to people who’ve lost their homes and are in need of emergency shelter, blankets and clothing. Your gifts make this possible.
Send Relief teams and partners are also in the early stages of assessing and planning long-term recovery efforts, including:
- Providing transitional housing, which allows families to avoid prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions, while remaining close to their collapsed homes as they rebuild
- Planning alternate livelihood strategies, as fish populations are decimated from earthquake-induced water pollution.
Help support those impacted by the Myanmar earthquake by giving today.
